For Breeders...

Trevor and Meddwyn both come from farms. in 1998 we bought 20 acres on the rural fringe of Bendigo, in Victoria. These days Trevor is a building advisor whose working role takes him all over the State of Victoria. Meddwyn runs her own psychology practice in Bendigo. These roles allow us the flexibility to drop in and assist new breeders or small breeders with their management problems should they need help or on farm advice. We also provide follow up shearing services to those who purchase alpacas through Lee Carrow. Trevor has extensive animal husbandry skills, allowing us to provide complete herd management including shearing, drenching, grooming and birthing.

We bought our first Alpaca in 1998 and work exclusively with huacaya. We have a long-term commitment to the viability of the alpaca fleece industry in Australia. Therefore our breeding strategies focus on density, fineness, crimp structure and uniformity of coverage.

With those goals in mind, we are part-owners of Jolimont Trovatello who is, in our opinion, the supreme Alpaca.

We also maintain a commitment to the full range of colours in huacaya breeds.

Jolimont Trovatello

His sire is Jolimont Bravo. The dam was Jolimont Roberta. Bravo was only in Australia for a short time before being sold to Canada so Trovatello presents an opportunity to purchase unique genetics which combine Peruvian features of excellence.

Trovatello's micron is 21 with a CV of 20. His fourth fleece weighed in at 6.6kg. Trovatello stands at stud near Albury, with Bill and Annette Robbins.
